Prayer makes the best “Good morning” and the best “Goodnight”! This morning I’m thankful for the refreshing privilege of coming to our Heavenly Father in prayer at any time of every and any day and just say, “Good morning/afternoon/evening, Dad! Soooo wonderful to spend time with You today!” :)
One never knows a man till he has refused him something, and studied the effect of the refusal; one never knows himself till he has denied himself. The altar of sacrifice is the touchstone of character. The cross compels a choice for or against Christ.
We need to have far less confidence in what man can do and far more confidence in what God can do for every believing soul. He longs to have you reach after Him by faith. He longs to have you expect great things from Him.

Written and composed on March 18, 2012. Song details:
- Inspiration. The idea and message behind this song has been marinading in my mind for two years. Inspired by the realization that in order for any and every friendship, courtship, dating, marriage, child-and-parent (or any other) relationship to be successful, God must be the Author, I decided to write this song. It conveys my personal perspective and feelings on God-written love stories. I believe the best way to meet one’s forever best friend is to pray our way to them. God knows our hearts and delights in being our Matchmaker. :)
- A big ‘Thank You’. Thank you to my wonderful friends, Khalid and Tiffaney, for inspiring me to finally write this song! I’m blessed to have my wonderful friends. I prayed my way to many of my friendships, and I’m continuing to pray my friendships through.

Song details. This was the very first song that started my love of songwriting. It was written in 2009 while I was driving eight long hours (solo) from Orlando, FL to Marietta, GA. There had been some light pitter-pat of the rain on the freeway (which I loved…because I love rainy days), but the sun also made its beautiful appearance after being a little bit bashful and hiding behind the clouds. …hence the first few lines of the song. I recorded my ideas on my Palm Centro’s voice memo app. Ahhh…those good ole pre-iPhone days! Life is Good has a special place in my heart; it is, to me, an allegory of the soul’s sunshine-after-the-rain days. This was the music video featured in Single Creek, a documentary on Christian singlehood.
