Song Cover // Shepherd of My Soul (Multitrack)
Shepherd of my soul I give you full control,
Wherever You may lead I will follow.
I have made the choice to listen for Your voice,
Wherever You may lead I will go.
Be it in a quiet pasture or by a gentle stream,
The Shepherd of my soul is by my side.
Should I face a mighty mountain or a valley dark and deep,
The Shepherd of my soul will be my guide.
Shepherd of my soul, oh You have made me whole,
Where’er I hear You call how my tears flow.
How I feel your love how I want to serve
I gladly give my heart to You O Lord.
Be it in the flowing river or in the quiet night,
The Shepherd of my soul is by my side.
Should I face the stormy weather or the dangers of this world.
The Shepherd of my soul will be my guide.
Be it in the flowing river or in the quiet night,
The Shepherd of my soul is by my side.
Should I face the stormy weather or the dangers of this world.
The Shepherd of my soul will be my guide.
The Shepherd of my soul will be my guide.

Song Cover // Mansion Over the Hilltop (Multitrack)
I’m satisfied with just a cottage below,
A little silver and a little gold
But in that city where the ransomed will shine
I want a gold one that’s silver lined
I’ve got a mansion just over the hilltop
in that bright land where we will never grow old
And someday yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold
Don’t think me poor or deserted or lonely
I’m not discouraged, I am heaven bound
I’m but a pilgrim in search of a city
I want a mansion, a harp and a crown
I’ve got a mansion just over the hilltop
in that bright land where we will never grow old
And someday yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold
I’ve got a mansion just over the hilltop
in that bright land where we will never grow old
And someday yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold (3x)

Song details:
- Childhood years. I grew up singing this song during morning worship at school back home in the Philippines. My friends and I also sang it for various gatherings.
- The arrangement. If you’re familiar with this song, you’ll remember how much slower the original version is. I first got the idea to do a ukulele arrangement of this song more than a couple months ago. I’m always itching to hear how (normally slow) songs sound when they’re sung/played with a more cheerful tune. I practiced the ukulele chords several times in the car (I usually travel with my ukulele) and finally decided on an arrangement I liked. …but it all had to wait (and stay in my head) for a while due to the tremendously stressful past few weeks. Sunday was a slow-paced day, so I finally decided to finish the preview track I had started weeks ago.
- Message. When our days on earth are dark and dreary, we need only to think of the bright and sunny days that await us in heaven, and that beautiful mansion made especially for you and me! Smile! :)

TILL THE STORM PASSES BY
In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howls above me, and there’s no hiding place.
‘Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Chorus:
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Many times Satan whispered, “There is no need to try,
For there’s no end of sorrow, there’s no hope by and by”
But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I’ll rise
Where the storms never darken the skies.
Chorus:
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,
Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.
Chorus:
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe (3x) till the storm passes by.

IN HIS PRESENCE
In the quiet of this hour as I kneel before You now
I believe Your promise to be faithful
I don´t always understand what Your perfect will demands
But I learn to trust You more in Your presence Lord
Chorus:
In Your presence there is comfort
In Your presence there is peace
When we seek to know Your heart
We will find such blessed assurance
In Your holy presence Lord
There can be such sweet reward when we wait upon the Lord
As we take the time He gives His perfect wisdom
To be found in Him alone all our deepest secrets known
We´re surrounded by His grace when we seek His face
Chorus:
In Your presence there is comfort
In Your presence there is peace
When we seek the Father’s heart
We will find such blessed assurance
An ever open door to know our Savior more
In the presence of the Lord (2x)
This is one of my many favorite Christian songs from childhood. …recorded yesterday. I love it when Kevyn (aka “Kaye”) sings it. She first sang this at our church last year; we decided to make our own minor changes to the song.

Lord, Take Control of Me
Lord, take control of me; renew my mind and help me see
That the goodness of Your light and love is mine to share
Make me a channel of Your Saving grace and cleansing blood
Make my life a shelter for a brother in despair
Chorus:
Release me into the current of Your Spirit’s power
And fill me each moment of the day and every hour
Make my life count for You in every thing I say and do
Help me ever to pursue the fullness of Your love
Lord take complete control of my body, mind, and soul
Give me grace to serve You and surrender to Your will
Let me know Your promised rest when I face each trial and test
So that You may manifest Yourself, to all the world.
(Chorus)
Bridge:
Take my life and fill it with Your love.
