Early morning revelation on prayer.
Read and heard this quote while listening to a sermon on prayer tonight. So encouraging! …to be loved by One who “invites” us to ask of Him! :)
A note to self on this beautiful rainy Wednesday afternoon.
This quote is a synopsis of a valuable lesson I learned some time ago that took a while for me to learn and understand. However, I praise the Lord for God-fearing friends who persevered to show their love through prayers and acts of love and kindness. Their perseverance helped me realize that “God loves us through people.”
Sometimes, it is our human tendency to want to keep things to ourselves and not “burden” others by expressing our need of support through their intercessory prayers and ministry of time and encouragement.
The next time you and I struggle to come out of our shell and open up with our brothers and sisters in Christ, let’s think of the words in this quote and remember that we are ALL part of the body of Christ.
I decided to write my personal (musician’s) creed now, at the beginning of this exciting 2012 (music) project. Being a part of God’s ministry is a solemn part of our walk with Him, and I wrote this as a note to self to always keep my focus on God and God alone.
