"How to Bring God's Word to Life" by Alan Parker
Click on the link above to listen to a powerful sermon by Alan Parker during ARME Bible Camp this month. Alan Parker talks about the importance of reading God’s Word with the right motives and with a heart that is wholly open to anything and everything God wants to teach us through the Bible. I highly recommend listening to this sermon.
Most important lesson taken from sermon:
- Selective listening/reading (when reading God’s word) does more harm than good to my spiritual growth. Allowing the verses to speak to me instead of taking what I want to take from each verse is an important part of being open to God’s teachings.
- Slow down. It’s not how many chapters I read, but how thoroughly I digest the meaning of each verse that truly matters.
